This year, I had the opportunity to participate in a fantastic event that took place in Copenhagen – VMUG Tech X 300. It was an outstanding gathering where not only a large number of people attended, providing a great chance to catch up with friends, but also, and perhaps most importantly, I had the opportunity to take part in many incredibly interesting sessions. This year, much of the focus was on artificial intelligence and hardware that supports VMware on one hand and accelerates operations related to artificial intelligence on the other.
As seen in the attached images below, there was plenty to choose from. Sometimes, I regret not being able to share duplicate and to participate in two session at the same time.
Extremely interesting presentation of Michael Schroeder with his experiences of fixing SAN implementation for VERY critical infrastructure helping system in Germany.
Frederik was explaining the newest Netapp solutions that can support VMware including k8s environments.
Also, there was super interesting sessions related to the Oracle Cloud. Did you know, for instance, that in this cloud, it is possible to create an additional interface for a virtual machine that will have a direct connection to the database in the native Oracle cloud? All of this is done to bypass the latency associated with NSX. Although NSX is excellent, it introduces some latency that can play a role in certain solutions.
Session to technology very close to my heart, HCX – how to migrate and use HCX for the migration projects.
Some memories:
As it was promised (at lest to me during discussion with the presenter) some of the session should be possible to find some of the recordings on youtube. Can’t wait and hope with the links I will be able to update this site.
Organizationally and substantively, VMUG was at a very high level. I felt very comfortable there, and I hope to have the opportunity to visit this VMUG in the coming years.
