debian, zmiana wartości locale

W debianie zmiana wartości locale odbywa się wyjątkowo łatwo.

Należy zainstalować pakiet locales:

apt update && apt upgrade
apt install -y locales

wyedytować plik /etc/locales.gen i usunąć komentarz z linii poprzedzającej interesujące nas locele (np. pl_PL.UTF-8 UTF-8)

Następnie nalezy wygenerować locale poleceniem: locale-gen i dodać locale do profilu:

echo "export LC_ALL=pl_PL.UTF-8" >> ~/.bashrc
echo "export LANG=pl_PL.UTF-8" >> ~/.bashrc
echo "export LANGUAGE=pl_PL.UTF-8" >> ~/.bashrc

Można też skorzystać z polecenia:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales

This issue extends beyond communication solely over WAN and also include connections between datacenters (DC) where we lack control …
